Verizon Launching Motorola Droid November 6th? | Android Phone Fans

The Motorola Droid for Verizon Wireless is all but official. And now, thanks to the Droid Does campaign, we're pretty sure it will get official on October 30th.

What's a good verizon smartphone?

My Verizon phone upgrade is on Monday and I have to make a decision, should i wait till October for the Motorola Sholes to come out or should i get the Nokia twist which comes to stores on Monday?

-I like the fact that they both have physical keyboards

-I love the design of the Nokia Twist

-I'm interested in Google Android and i know the Motorola Sholes will support it

-I have had problems with touch screens in the past (LG Dare)

Any suggestions?

Nokia Twist vs. Motorola Sholes?

seriously when the hell will we ever get a android phone on verizon? why does t mobile always take android?

why are android phones always on t mobile?

Is there anyone who knows for sure if there is an HTC Android phone coming to Verizon by the end of 2009? I know it is rumored, but I am hoping someone out there knows.

Thanks in advance.

HTC Android for VerizonWireless?

Due to predictions made, I have a firm belief that Europe will be getting many more Android-powered phones in the coming year than we will see the light of in America, and being an open-source fanatic, I was wondering if I would be able to use one better than the HTC/G1/3G here.

Note: I know Verizon won't, as they only carry phones they approve, but ATT/T-Mobile?

Will an American cell phone carrier carry a European phone?

will there be any phones coming to verizon with the android operating system?

verizon phones coming with android os?

The Tour is a gift, I know the person will love the device itself, but is it worth to get right now?

-The Tour is the last phone for Verizon that won't have wifi and I have actually read the other day that BB with wifi don't make web browsing any faster than the native 3g that CDMA BBs have been using.

- Verizon will be getting a WebOS device by January 2010, and that software is nothing short of awesome. Just the hardware itself is questionable for the Palm Pre.

- There will be Android devices coming to Verizon by the end of the year which will be pretty damn hard to cripple which Verizon likes to do most of their smart phones.

- RIM has stated they will "try" to have a web browser "like" the iPhone has now…in another year. And what gets me about that quote is that they aren't even going to try and make a BETTER browser, like, you know, be competitive, but instead believing the iPhone browser is the status quo. http://crackberry.com/blackberry-have-native-web-browser-good-iphones-safari-next-summer-and-other-blackberry-tid-bits

-The person I want to get the phone for won't switch carriers so only Verizon phones are the only options for me.

- They don't like ANY of Verizon's current offerings in the touch screen area. (Storm 1, not an option)

I know there will always be something better/faster coming no matter what device/car/equipment you're buying. But should I give the Tour to someone as a gift, or just wait till something better comes along?

Should I get the Blackberry Tour ?

I have Verizon and in October the Motorola Sholes is supposed to come out I wanted an android phone but I can't get it if it's got a fee like with smartphones when you have to pay for all that data packages and stuff so does anyone know if there is a fee before I get my hopes up about the Sholes?

Does any one know if there is an extra fee for android phones like smart phones have?

Hi me and my family is switchig phones for verizon next year. There is supposed to be a android or 2! Is it a smartphone? We are looking at the motorola morrison and Calgary. How much if so with a smartphone plan for 2 and unlimited texting for 4?

What is a android phone?

I just got my T-Mobile G1 phone today, and I'm having some trouble with it.

Does anyone know how to get touch screen messaging on the G1? I know it isn't a rumor or anything, because I've seen my friend's G1 myself with the touch screen text messaging feature. All my systems are up to date, and I can't find the android text messaging check box, or whatever it may be.

Also, I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile, and I'm getting text messages, and possible even calls, from certain people only. My old Verizon phone is completely shut off and I'm not able to communicate with anyone on that anymore, so I know that my new phone is doing all the work now, if that made any sense. I'm able to send out messages, but I'm not able to receive every message. This may be the case for calling as well, but I haven't had any problems with that yet.

Does anyone know why I'm not receiving every message? Please get back with me on this ASAP!

Text messaging problems on G1?

When will these happen if ever, and is it worth waiting for them or should I just a current gen Verizon phone?
